The Skills Development and Livelihood Program aims at imparting training to those in need, allowing them to stand on their own feet, and become financially stable. It empowers them to take charge of their own lives with dignity and determination. Skills trainings open the doors to opportunities that can change the trajectory of their lives. Let's end this cycle of poverty through imparting knowledge and enabling families to lift themselves from their struggles.

In 2017, a brutal wave of violence by Myanmar security forces systematically targeted Rohingya women and girls. This widespread act of gender-based violence (GBV) deliberately intimidated an entire civilian population causing them to flee and take shelter in Bangladesh. Many GBV victims lost their children, husbands, and family members in one of the most harrowing ordeals to date. With your support, HHRD’s Skills Development and Livelihood Program stepped in to meet the necessities of the many Rohingya refugee GBV victims in Bangladesh. Learn More
