Rebuilding Hope

HHRD Model Villages

HHRD has embarked on a significant endeavor to continue our impactful work in Pakistan and Northwestern Syria. Through our Shelter Relief Program, we have successfully constructed one model village in Afrin, Northwestern Syria, and the other in Chak Patyat, Pakistan while we continue to work on others. These villages typically have 100 homes, which encompass essential amenities such as homes, mosques, libraries, schools, water wells, and home water filtration units. This ambitious initiative aims to offer long-term relief to numerous families including providing them with cattle and seeds for farming as part of our Seed of Hope project.

Hope and Livelihood

Plight of Palestinian Refugees

Since 2019, our Home Renovation project has focused on helping needy families in 13 Refugee camps, particularly in GAZA and SOUF Camps. Many Palestinian Refugees and local Jordanians live in old, cramped homes in need of repairs and expansions. Unable to afford renovations themselves, they continue to live in inadequate conditions. HHRD aims to improve their living standards by renovating and enhancing their homes, creating healthier environments for these families.

Safe Havens for Refugees

In September 2023, Central Morocco was struck by a 6.8-magnitude earthquake, followed by a 6.3-magnitude quake in Afghanistan a month later, leaving thousands homeless and countless buildings damaged. HHRD swiftly responded, providing emergency aid and caravan homes to aid in reconstruction efforts. Meanwhile, in Bangladesh, Jordan, and Lebanon, vulnerable populations endure harsh conditions in poorly constructed camps. Urgent maintenance and provision of caravan homes are crucial, exemplified by the Zaatari camp in Jordan, where HHRD's Caravan Homes project offers vital protection and dignity to families in need.

Support Refugees

In regions like Bangladesh, Jordan, Lebanon, vulnerable populations, including Syrians, Palestinians, and Rohingya, live in poorly constructed structures in impoverished camps. Urgent maintenance, renovation, and provision of caravan homes are necessary. Zaatari camp, the largest refugee camp in Jordan for Syrians, has become a settlement where families strive for normalcy. HHRD's Caravan Homes project provides protection against harsh elements, ensuring a life of dignity and health. Each HHRD-provided caravan measures (6x3) meters, featuring galvanized C18 sections (1.8mm thick) for the base and internal C14 sections.

Right to Education

Necessities for a Brighter Future

With the cooperation of the Education Ministry, HHRD MENA (Middle East and North Africa) provides learning centers/classrooms along with restrooms, necessary furniture, and amenities, for refugee children and as relief for Jordan’s already overcrowded classrooms. Building these centers helps to facilitate out of school refugee children with access to primary elementary education that will help them pass the national tests required to enroll in formal schools.
