The Palestinian crisis has led to continuous civil unrest and claimed the lives of countless innocent people. Children have inherited only hardship and struggle and are threatened daily with difficulties beyond our imagination. HHRD’s Middle East North Africa team in Jordan has been assisting internally displaced Palestinians and refugee families in Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey and Gaza.
A humanitarian crisis of epic proportions has devastated Palestinians in Jerusalem, Sheikh Jarrah, and Gaza in May 2021. The United Nations and international communities showed grave concern over the unjust treatment of the Palestinian people as well as the alarmingly high death toll of mainly children. Without access to hospitals, bomb shelters, and other essentials, the residents of these cities faced unimaginable difficulties.
In 2015, HHRD USA in coordination with vetted local partner NGOs, noticed a severe lack of ambulances to bring patients to Jenin Hospital in Al-Shijeia, Palestine. With the help of donors, this area of 200,000 Palestinians received necessary medical attention and health care. HHRD sent a truck of food, household supplies, and hygiene kits to Gaza from Jordan as well. With your continued support, we aim to provide lifesaving essentials to Palestinian families.
